Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who knew the suspect. The victim had called the police on the suspect when he observed him assaulting a female. The suspect saw the victim and pulled up the front of his shirt to reveal a medium sized semi-automatic handgun in his waistband. The suspect then yelled a threat to the victim and walked away. Officers were able to locate the suspect later on but did not recover a firearm.Joshua Lewis Payton, 34, from Los Angeles was arrested for brandishing a firearm.
