first_imgTrail Butter, a nut-based, spreadable, all-natural energy snack has been giving back to its founding athlete fan base – endurance runners. A partnership with the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) created nearly five years ago with the production of its limited edition Red, White and Blue Tribute Blend continues in 2020.US$5 of every sale of 16 oz Red, White and Blue blend is donated to Team USA. These funds help offset the travel costs of US trail runners representing Team USA at international competitions.Trail Butter co-founder Jeff Boggess explained, “In the early days of Trail Butter, inspiration and ideas often came while out on the trail, running, just moving along. Living in Portland and being a trail and endurance runner. It was a natural progression that I’d meet people with similar interests and share the Trail Butter story.“This group of athletes – endurance athletes – became the DNA of our foundation; and the Red, White and Blue Tribute blend allows us to give back to ‘our family’.”Last November, Team USA symbolically gave back to Trail Butter with Grayson Murphy’s World Mountain Running Championship victory. “Those are the moments when our efforts are that much more meaningful,” Jeff Boggessadded, “when you hope you’ve made a difference or in some way enhanced an athlete’s experience or performance through your brand’s ethos.”According to the company ‘Trail Butter is perfect for endurance running as it is formulated to provide lasting energy and nutrition. Real food provides longer lasting, slower-to-digest fuel that can curb hunger and provide the mental and physical boost necessary to complete long-distance objectives. It can be eaten straight out of the package or – in the case of longer events – can be pre-prepared in a tortilla with sliced bananas for energy sustaining fuel.’ Relatedlast_img
